2004 Convention Theme - Everyone and Everything: My Teacher
Keynote Speaker: Rev. David Matsumoto
Convention Facility: Four Rivers Cultural Center on Saturday, February 14, and Sunday morning, February 15. (Delegates arriving on Friday night, February 13, will be greeted at Idaho-Oregon Buddhist Temple.)
Registration Fee: $60.00. Registration information will be sent to the Northwest temples after Thanksgiving.
Accommodations: Northwest temples will receive information in order to make reservations at local motels.
Website: Information about the convention will be available on our website, www.iobt.org.
Communication: Contact people have been designated at each temple to receive information via email about the convention. These people will then pass the information on to each local temple.
Religious discussions and workshops: Planning is proceeding for 4 sessions that will include youth sessions (grades 7-12), English discussions, Japanese discussions, and workshops. Guided tours of the museum at Four Rivers Cultural Center will be offered during some of the workshop sessions. Delegates will also be welcome to browse the museum on their own.
Daycare and Dharma School-age Children: Activities are also being planned for children in grades K-6.
Meals: Saturday lunch and Saturday banquet are planned. A Sunday bento will be offered for an additional $10.00.
